We are looking for our next Head of Shared Services to join our Australian Finance Team, reporting into our Finance Director. You will lead the evolution of Lion’s credit and payment service outcomes, ensuring services are highly efficient and supported by strong controls and governance, whilst delivering against Lion’s customer and vendor experience priorities. You will work closely with our most senior Finance, Sales and Supply Chain leaders, whilst leading a large onshore and offshore team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the company and develop your leadership and process excellence skills. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimise outstanding receivables and improve cashflow
- Manage customer credit risk and ensure governance in setting credit limits
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with payment terms and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to optimise procure-to-pay process
- Identify opportunities to standardise and automate receivables and payables processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Work with internal audit to ensure policies and procedures are compliant and minimise risk for Lion
- Work with external vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Provide leadership and coaching to onshore and offshore team leaders.
- Core shared services experience (accounts payable and receivable transactions)
- Experience managing an offshore team in a high-volume environment
- Authentic leadership and cultural sensitivity
- Process and governance orientation
- The ability to drive change and continuous improvement
- Open stakeholder collaboration with a strong customer focus
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Accounting qualification desirable but not essential.
