We are looking for Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH. The municipal energy company supplies its customers with electricity, gas and local heating and takes on tasks in the field of water protection and water treatment. As a municipal company, the company feels very connected to its city, the region and everyone who lives in Solingen and the surrounding area. SWS Netze Solingen GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH. The transport division is an organizationally independent area and is responsible for local public transport (ÖPNV) in Solingen. The energy supplier is going into transformation. A new division manager is being created.

We are looking for a sales-oriented and process-strong personality in the new role as Head of Shared Services (Customer Service – Billing & EDM – MaKo & Receivables Management).

The task:

  • A shared service structure is being created with the functions of customer service, billing & energy data, MaKo & receivables management, which will include around 70 employees.
  • Each area of ​​responsibility currently has a department head, who will be managed by you as the department head in the future. You will carefully break up the established structures.
  • You will manage processes end-to-end, with the right touch for the employees.
  • You will shape the variety of specialist tasks with a focus on a more efficient and rock-solid orientation with a clear emphasis on customer (service).
  • You have what it takes to be a leader.
  • Your educational background is preferably, but not necessarily, a degree in economics, business administration or industrial engineering.
  • Ideally, you have gained comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry, preferably with a focus on customer service, in a municipal utility or energy company or in an industry where mass processes need to be standardized and efficient.
  • Your focus is on the customer, and your sales heart beats loudly.
  • As a person, you act transparently, are able to deal with conflict, need to be slowed down rather than pushed, and can show your people the way. Because transformation doesn’t make you dizzy, it motivates you.
