Has overall responsibility for the application architecture, configuration, development, deployment, maintenance, support, operations, life-cycle-management and annual budget of the applications and the underlying platform(s) that support specific groups of stakeholders within Shared Services.
- Responsible for all stages and iterations of software development and application configuration for portfolio of applications and technology solutions that support a business domain(s) related to a group of stakeholders. Development can include in-house developed applications, configuration and/or customization of third-party applications and integrations between applications. Responsible for managing software development, configuration, customization, and integration activities of the team and/or external providers. Adheres to organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software development and configurations. Adopts and adapts appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques and ensures that appropriate level of oversight (such as design and code reviews, testing, code promotion and release processes) are in place. Works collaboratively across technology teams including, but not limited to infrastructure, operations, security, integration services and release/change management in order to deliver business value through technology products and services. Measures and monitors project/team standards for software development and configuration, including software security.
- Leads technology team(s) responsible for overseeing application system availability and performance for a portfolio of applications and technology solutions that support a business domain(s) related to a group of stakeholders. Responsible for the development of continuity management plans, impact analysis and the assessment of risks for their application portfolio. Responsible for the planning, designing, and testing of contingency plans for their application portfolio. Drives the investigation of incidents and their resolution. Provides visibility to IT leadership and stakeholders and escalates unresolved incidents. Works collaboratively with software product and service vendors to ensure adherence to contractual deliverables and SLAs. Is part of the manager rotation for critical issue resolution across the IT organization.
- Builds long-term relationships with stakeholders in Shared Services. Facilitates the engagement of stakeholders in support of the delivery of new or enhanced products and services. Acts as a single point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating relationships between them and managing the work on their behalf across all of IT. Prioritizes technology requests against their portfolio and defines roadmaps to show strategic initiatives, technology initiatives and support for business operations throughout the year.
- Works closely with key stakeholders and appropriate Project Management Offices (PMOs), assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that project work is on track and adheres to defined timelines and budgets and ensuring overall design delivers the necessary solution that meets stakeholder needs. Provides visibility to stakeholder initiatives requiring technology and the prioritization of these initiatives along with roadmaps and status on an ongoing basis. Brings transparency and invites collaboration between IT and stakeholder groups for a business domain(s).
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
