Davies Group, a global operations, consulting and technology provider to the insurance and banking industries, are undertaking a programme reviewing the location of work across their global footprint.
Core to this programme, we need an experienced senior HR Director to lead the development of our offshore HR programme. Working to define the requirements, hire and manage the right support team, and interfacing with our onshore teams to implement and manage policies, processes and procedures; this role is key to our success.
- Establish and lead the HR function for the newly established offshoring centre, ensuring alignment with company objectives and culture.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programmes to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce that are consistent with both Davies Group global policies, and local market norms.
- Liaison and felicitate collaboration with external partners supporting HR aspects as required like recruitment, training, payroll etc.
- Lead collaboration with recruitment agencies to source, select, and onboard candidates for various roles within the offshoring centre, geared towards rapid growth.
- Build and manage the HR team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Design and implement performance management processes and initiatives to drive employee engagement, development, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.
- Manage compensation and benefits programmes that are competitive and aligned with company policies and market trends as per organization guidance.
- Implement learning and development programmes to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
- Monitor and report on the performance of operations at the offshore centre (eg recruitment, attrition etc), and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) while working closely with Operations & Transition Directors.
- Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and employee well-being within the offshoring centre.
- Collaborate with onshore HR function to help support offshore centre initial growth and ensure alignment on practices.
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with progressive HR experience, and worked on scaling up a business.
- Extensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws in India
- Understand the Talent acquisition process and manage effectiveness and improve.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Experience in building HR functions and teams from the ground up, including working with recruitment agencies and establishing HR policies and procedures in alignment with Davies Group policies and processes.
- Strong understanding of performance management and employee development strategies.
- Knowledge of HR systems and tools for managing employee data and processes.
- Proficiency in compensation and benefits design and administration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team in a start-up environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset, and ability to recognise issues and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information.
- Experience in Insurance and Financial Services sectors is preferred but not required.
