An exciting opportunity to work for a global organisation in the civil engineering and construction space. As an organisation they have multiple locations worldwide and a strong global workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the UK business with the HR strategy, be a trusted advisor to the business and drive the people strategy
With a passion for people you will balance being a visible member of the team either in the office or on site each week and working remotely and be a collaborative and inspirational leader of the HR team
- As a member of the UK&I executive team, this role will drive the HR function and develop the people strategy and will work closely with the Board
- Your remit will lead the shared services function which includes payroll and reward, as well as the generalist HR Business Partners, identifying areas of change, development and improvement across all teams and individuals
- Being a trusted advisor, you’ll identify and lead on strategic projects, have a focus on workforce planning, OD as well as the broader HR remit
- As a strong collaborator, you will influence and advise as well as take responsibility for the overall strategy and HR managing a team of 15
- Drive the DEI agenda, as well as the culture and values of the organisation and ensure a strong function that is consistent, supportive and approachable across the UK & Ireland but working with a global workforce
- A strong generalist background you will also have experience working with or running a shared service function
- Experience from either a construction, infrastructure or civil engineering organisation, ideally a company of some size and a global matrix footprint
- Team management experience, strong relationship building skills, CIPD level 7 as a minimum or equivalent experience
- You will be happy to be on site (West London) 3 – 4 days a week with flexibility to travel (UK&I) when needed.
- Must have had strategic delivery and implementation, be a strong communicator, influencer at Board level and be an ideas led person
