The HR Shared Services Manager plays a critical role in the organization; and is a subject matter expert in back office and administrative functions of the HR department. This position will demonstrate functional excellence to drive systems, benefits, compensation, and compliance. Initiatives of this role will include oversight of the HR teams shared services (administration) function and ensuring alignment of programs across the organization.
- Define operational targets and goals for the HR department that are in line with the companys overall business strategy.
- Plan, organize, and implement the administrative functions of the HR department.
- Oversee and refine employee standards, policies, and procedures, using existing HR systems as well as improved or recommended processes.
- Manage and evaluate benefit administration, review plans, rates, open enrollment.
- Design and ensure compensation strategy and packages align with strategic plans.
- Ensure compensation and benefits comply with current legislation regarding human rights and pay equity.
- Complete and review annual benchmarking data for compensation and benefits.
- Manage and maintain human resource records and reporting per standard requirements.
- Ensure organizational compliance to labor laws, wages, benefit plans, and policies/procedures.
- Oversee shared services function including generalists and coordinators providing guidance and leadership to those areas.
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Management, or Administration
- 10 years of HR experience
- 3+ years of human resource department management with direct supervisor/manager experience
- Strong knowledge and application of federal and state employment law
- Analytical skills: interpret data, identify trends, recommend multiple solutions.
- Strong team player with a collaborative and communicative spirit
- Performance driven and goal orientated in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel and HRIS skills preferred.
