A transformative leader who will own the Business Process strategy and design within the Workday HR System. This Business Process Owner will be responsible for leveraging deep HR systems expertise to radically transform core HR processes, including Workday programmatic changes, using employee centric design principles in support of HR strategies that impact the enterprise.

Establish End-to-End Process Vision and Develop Process Roadmap:

  • Partner with the HR Director to define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for end-to-end processes across the company, including vision for transforming programmatic core processes and data governance as needed.
  • Develop and translate strategy into overall process key deliverables, operational goals, objectives, and process and systems roadmap.
  • Under the direction of the CAO and HR Director, lead the execution of a strategy for an end-to-end process including associated policies and technologies.
  • Stay abreast of process trends and leading practices occurring in the marketplace to inform strategic direction and process enhancement.

Monitor Process Performance and Identify Opportunities:

  • Drive KPI and baseline metrics that drive efficiency and streamline processes
  • Develop and review end-to-end process performance and provide ongoing advice, solutions and enhancements to management of business processes under a Shared Service model.
  • Develop and operationalize applicable reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end process using external benchmarking as appropriate to compare with best-in-class performers.

Drive Process Transformation and Promote a Process-Oriented Culture:

  • Partner with the HR Director to influence key decisions aligned with the HR strategy related to the process, including target setting, process performance, and financial management.
  • Drive Human Capital Management (HCM) process and information standardization, integration and automation leveraging a self-service delivery model and employee centric principles to improve employee experience and enable higher rates of self-service.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of the HCM process to improve effectiveness and efficiency, including accountability for their successful implementation and change management.
  • Create a prioritized, metric-driven pipeline of process related improvements and opportunities with associated governance model and serve as liaison between technical and business resources.
  • Determine which opportunities to pursue with a focus on reducing process costs, increasing efficiency, enhancing the HCM experience and maximizing investment returns.
  • Build business cases to quantify the cost and value of process opportunities and advocate for funding as necessary.
  • Identify gaps between functional areas, a clear plan to close the gaps while giving provisions for legal and regulatory required variances.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a human resource or business-related field or an equivalent of 10+ years’ experience in a similar role. Graduate degree desirable in a related field preferred.
  • Certification in an HRIS system required. Workday certification preferred.
  • 8 plus years’ experience in human resources, human resources information systems (HRIS) and/or shared services (HRIS) operations, as well as a thorough understanding and subject matter expertise of HCM end-to-end process design and management and demonstrated expertise with Workday.
  • 4-8 years in transformation and process design work with Workday as an HCM system
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in implementing change including large-scale transformations.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to operationalize processes in alignment with strategic vision and prioritize opportunities for transformation.
  • Outstanding organization skills with demonstrated capability to standardize, influence and collaborate in an inclusive way across regional teams and cultures including outsource providers/vendors and technology partners.
  • Capability to help build and execute the business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices.
  • Strong presence and excellent stakeholder, project and change management skills.
  • Lean or continuous process improvement experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and execution skills required.
  • A thorough understanding of HR shared services operations and processes.
  • Outstanding organization skills with demonstrated capability to standardize, influence and collaborate in an inclusive way across regional teams and cultures including outsource providers/vendors and technology partners.
  • Capability to help build and execute the business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices.
