The HR Business Partner for México is a high energy, innovative and influencer individual responsible for executing IGT’s people strategy to ensure business success across the region. Will directly support all employees from different business units and segments to align people and organizational strategies to business strategies and objectives while applying the appropriate level of confidentiality. Is a trustful partner to their clients, drive the understanding and adoption of HR programs and policies in partnership with our P&T (People & Transformation) Centers of Excellence (COEs).

  • Partner closely with leaders and employees to establish credibility as a trusted advisor to influence and support key strategic and operational decisions
  • Provide proactive and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of business strategies and initiatives by ensuring we create a fair and inclusive culture that values unity, diversity, and belonging in our people, players, customers, and communities.
  • Collaborate closely with our colleagues to understand our longer-term operating model, advise on strategic changes, and understand talent across the organization
  • Understand market forces and business strategy, and translate those requirements to talent-related requirements
  • Facilitate career management, development, performance, succession planning conversations
  • Execute structured relationship management cadence to maintain relationships and communication channels
  • Mitigate risks by ensuring appropriate escalation / investigation of performance, conduct and other Employee Relations related matters
  • Work closely with Managers and employees to promote and increase employee engagement to enable a high-performing workforce to contribute to the company’s strategic growth
  • Support clients’ coverage and identify emerging talent issues before they impact the clients strategy fulfillment
  • Leverage employee feedback and/or interviews to maintain or build awareness of covered population, issues and challenges
  • Leverage COE teams as relevant to support the country
  • Ensure adherence to applicable employment legislation for the different provinces in which we operate.

Monitor Culture and Drive Change:

  • Represent IGT values and implement initiatives and programs to support organizational culture
  • Support HR initiatives across calendar year and keep the line up to date on forthcoming initiatives

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 5 -8 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience with proven experience in matrix organizations.
  • Experience leading projects, managing change, and helping to foster/create a collaborative working environment
  • Experience designing, building, and implementing HR functional programs, policies, tools and procedures
  • Ability to managing multiple priorities & projects through successful delivery and implementation
  • Proven success in working in a fast-paced growing business environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Generalist, with strong ability to partner with multiple HR functional areas like compensation, learning & development, mobility, employee relations, desired with a mix of operational, strategic and systems thinking experience
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks, organizations and ongoing community involvement
  • Experience working with a service delivery model that includes shared services
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organization Development or related field
  • CHRP would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast paced, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills, systems and procedures – adaptable.
  • Experience with change management practices and organizational design and development.
  • Full knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills. Ability to establish and sustain relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines with ease; excellent project management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team member.
