The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Total Rewards Function for Lowe’s India. This includes end to end responsibility Compensation, Benefits, Recognition and Global Mobility Operations. Lead and manage a team responsible for compensation and benefits administration.
This role engages with other stakeholders across the shared services function – including but not limited to HR, Finance, Legal and Procurement team and is expected to establish strong partnerships with global stakeholders with total rewards team.
- Conceptualize, design, and implement Total Rewards (TR) strategy and various programs to deliver desired results with regard to external market competitiveness, internal parity and organization objectives.
- Design and co-create the compensation philosophy with global partnership and in alignment with core values of the organization.
- Participate in external and peer group surveys on compensation, benefits and other market practices; use Excel and data analysis techniques to benchmark / fine-tune and improve to stay relevant and ahead.
- Manage Annual Compensation Planning cycles including merit, bonus and LTI payments in alignment with compensation philosophy and performance management framework.
- Assessing competitive pay position; preparing & recommending TR budgets for the country and advising salary increment percentage increases.
- Oversee and review job evaluation for the organization across all levels to ensure equities within the jobs in the organization using scientific methodology, align with global levels as applicable
- Benefits Management – Continuous evaluation and improvement on benefit offerings by understanding the pulse of the organization and utilization trends while maintaining budget prudence.
- Effectively create communication strategy in partnership with the corporate communications team and provide tailored awareness on rewards and benefits strategy to leadership, HRBP and employee groups.
- Application of total rewards philosophy into the design of every TR offering, anticipate trends and provide relevant advice to the business on a proactive basis.
- Manage Global Mobility for Lowe’s India which mainly includes Business travel visas and support any expatriate Assignment and one-way transfer between Lowe’s locations within the compliance framework.
Years Of Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Compensation and Benefits with 3+ years of experience in people management
- Strong analytical mindset, knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and advanced experience in Microsoft excel / PowerPoint tools
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including excellent collaboration, and influencing skills
- Experience in working with GCCs and/or consulting organizations in current/previous capacity will be an added advantage
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Professional qualification with post-graduate in HR/Management
- Certification in compensation/rewards is good to have

Primary Skills (must Have)
- Deep subject matter expertise on total rewards and related compliance requirements for India.
- Good understanding of the governance framework of Total Rewards, and data-driven approach for decision making
- An exceptional detail-oriented, data-driven approach for decision-making and continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management across hierarchy and departments and location
- Staying relevant to the trends/best practices in the market on Total Rewards.
Secondary Skills (desired)
- Understanding of global trends
- High-level understanding of US offering on total rewards.
- Experience with consulting firms.
