Together the People & Culture, Marketing & Communications, IT, Operations, Finance and Quality & Compliance teams make it their mission to ensure Mazars has the right tools, technology, strategies, and services in place to deliver exceptional client service and future-proof our growing business. Internal Audit is a relatively new function within Mazars UK, and whilst administratively forms part of the Quality and Risk Management, it reporting line is to the Mazars UK Audit and Risk Committee (ARC).
- In this newly created role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day oversight and delivery by the team of proactive, high quality and insightful risk based internal audit services across all aspects of Mazars UK business.
- Working closely with the Head of Internal Audit in attending and reporting the outcomes of internal audits activities to various forums including the Executive and ARC amongst others.
- Also playing a key role in co-ordinating the work of internal audit with second line functions such as the Enterprise Risk team (amongst others) as well as promote the role of internal audit to the wider business.
- As a relatively new function within Mazars UK, you will play a key role in reviewing, further developing and implementing methodologies/templates, alongside helping prepare for, and participate in an independent External Quality Assessment whilst contributing to the overall Quality objectives of the firm.
- Internal audit experience within a highly regulated environment
- Strong technical understanding from completing your CIIA/or another relevant CCAB qualification/degree of professional internal auditing standards
- Experience working with senior stakeholders across a varied and complex business, and ability to build strong working relationships and develop an excellent understanding of their business, risks and assurance needs
- Familiarity in working within a three lines of defence model, proactively interacting with 2nd line such as Enterprise Risk, Compliance as well as external third parties to ensure effective co-ordination and avoidance of duplication of assurance
- Experienced people manager, leading and motivating teams to achieve overall goals
