The position is to lead the Regional IT Financials & Planning activities in Asia.

We are looking for a seasoned qualified Accountant or Finance Professional with deep experience in IT budgeting & planning, resource controls, expense and asset management from banking or insurance industry to join us. Individuals with experience in financial management for IT transformation will have an added advantage.

IT Portfolio Planning and Budgeting

  • Lead in regional IT planning and budgeting consolidating across 8 operating countries and 3 regional offices in Asia. Facilitation of Asia’s Reinvestment (RI) funding asks and oversight key programs. This includes planning and coordination between Global, Regional and Country IT and Finance departments on IT budget submissions/iterations and funding through Reinvest programs.

IT Financial & Cost Management:

  • Liaising with global and regional IT leaders, GTO Finance and Finance leaders to provide accurate and timely financial forecasts, budgets, and analysis of IT spend and performance. This includes monthly actuals against plan, full year forecasts and variance commentaries around key drivers.

Transformation from Project Funding to Persistent Team Funding

  • As MetLife moves into the Agile Delivery Model (ADM) for software delivery, funding model evolves from project to persistent team funding.

Conduit between Technology and Finance

  • This function is the primary conduit between Technology and Finance, providing the link between business drivers and resulting financial implications to the respective stakeholders.

IT Service Consumption and Transfer Pricing Management

  • Communicates with IT leadership and business leadership on Services consumed by countries or regional offices; and strategies to enable cost savings solutions Leverage on usage reports, ADM Financials etc. for driver explanation.
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in IT or Finance/Accounting
  • At least 15 years total working experience in Finance or similar capacity
  • Tech Transformation or consulting experience with a reputable Consulting Firm will have added advantage
  • Insurance industry (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experienced in Lean Portfolio Management (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Collaboration with senior leadership (country and regional Heads)
  • Working with multiple stakeholders across region including US
  • Working in a multinational environment is an added advantage
