The Manager of Financial Shared Services is a hands-on and expected to manage the team who process day-to-day payroll and accounts payable operations. This position supports new and existing systems, manages vendor contracts and relationships, drives process standardization, automation, and improvement to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness. This role is part of the Finance Team under the CFO and will be based in Chantilly, VA.

  • Manage the team who processes end-to-end payroll processing utilizing payroll and HR systems (ADP Workforce Now and Workday) and accounts payable, utilizing Costpoint and NAV
  • Provide leadership development to direct report(s) to optimize operational excellence and create experienced talent
  • Develop and maintain relationships with HR, Accounting, and FP&A teams throughout the payroll and accounts payable cycles
  • Strong knowledge of statutory regulations, working knowledge of payroll and accounts payable best practices and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Function as a strategic partner and contribute process improvement for system implementations/upgrades
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and audits to ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • BA/BS degree in business/accounting or equivalent
  • At least 10+ years of experience with payroll and accounts payable systems
  • At least 5-8 years of proven management/supervisory skills
