Reporting to the Vice President, Business Innovation, Transformation and Shared Services, this role will play a key role externally in positioning ADP as a leader in HR outsourcing solutions and engaging with industry decision makers as well as current and prospective clients. Internally, this role will be the single voice of HRO across ADP, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Product, HRO Operations and other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for ADP’s HR Outsourcing segment by creating and executing the strategic vision for HRO. You will leverage your visionary mindset and ability to think big to help the HRO segment push the boundaries and achieve its ambitious goals. Finally, you will leverage your execution and process-driven mindset and work with your business partners to lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and define and execute a value creation plan.
Manager, HR Outsourcing (HRO) Practices / Lead, ADP HR Outsourcing Practices
- Establish strong strategies for the HR Outsourcing segment by collaborating with HRO leadership, business stakeholders, sales and marketing to develop the Canada go-to-market plan that drives revenue growth and sales results.
- Design and execute key HRO initiatives to increase market share relative to strategic business initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of the strategic planning process as required. Contribute to initiatives and programs throughout the lifecycle by providing hands-on support during the development of new ideas at the beginning of the project. Support strategy-related projects when led by external parties.
- Develop business transformation plans focused on annual growth and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Shaping the offering of products and services.
- Partner with sales, operations and product leadership to lead the design of the customer success journey based on market and industry verticals.
Offer of products and services
- Help shape ADP Canada’s HR product and service offering to ensure it meets the current needs of our existing and potential clients.
Thought Leadership in HR Outsourcing
- Influence ADP’s HR outsourcing strategy to address internal factors, external business and regulatory considerations, and industry and customer trends impacting the business. Represent HRO externally and internally.
- As an insightful manager of Human Capital Management and HR services, you will lead, influence and shape the HRO segment through actionable insights and act as a catalyst for innovation to drive growth in this space.
- Extract key competitive intelligence and other external research to ensure strategy is aligned with industry trends and customer needs. Partner with U.S. counterparts to identify and capture favorable growth opportunities.
- Act as an agent of change to create a vision and make it known.
Business expansion
- Working with Sales, foster, create and build relationships with current and potential customers to develop and manage the HRO segment resource pool.
- Present the HRO value proposition to business leaders, assessing opportunities and explaining the value of ADP’s managed HR outsourcing services.
- Own HRO’s current and new partnerships and distribution channels and growth of HRO’s offerings and products.
- Act as a resource to Sales Managers by working with current and prospective customers during the sales, implementation and service processes. Maintain an effective working relationship with the Sales organization to accelerate sales, drive revenue growth and ensure compliance.
Managing major transactions
- Play a pivotal/leadership role within ADP’s large/complex deal teams to help define and execute our deal origination and closing strategy. Play a lead role in client sourcing, building relationships and facilitating deal closing.
HRO Team Management
- Act as the lead manager of a team of HR outsourcing professionals (manager leader) who provide operational and programmatic support to HR outsourcing clients. In doing so, you will also be responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients and ensuring client satisfaction (based on Customer Prospect Score (NPS) and customer retention).
ADP HR Outsourcing (HRO) Practice Leader
Strategic Business Leadership
- Drive firm strategy work for the HR Outsourcing Business by partnering with the HRO Leadership, Business Stakeholders, Sales & Marketing to develop the Canada Go To Market plan that drives revenue growth and sales outcomes.
- Designing and execution of key HRO initiatives to increase the market share for strategic business initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of the Strategic Planning Process as needed. Support initiatives and programs throughout the lifecycle by providing hands on support in the development of new ideas at project initiation. Support strategy projects when driven by external parties
- Development of Annual Growth focused business transformation plans and working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Shape product and service offering
- Working with sales, operations and product leadership, lead the Customer Success Journey Design based in Market and Industry Verticals
Product and Service Offering
- Help shape ADP Canada’s HR product and service offerings to ensure we are meeting ongoing needs of our prospects and clients
HR Outsourcing Thought Leadership
- Influences ADP HR Outsourcing strategy to address internal, external business and regulatory considerations, industry and customer trends, impacting the business. Be the face for HRO externally and internally
- As a Human Capital Management / HR Services thought leader, this individual with guide, influence and shape the HRO Field through actionable insights and a catalyst for innovation to drive growth in this space
- Distill competitive intelligence and other external research to ensure alignment of strategy with industry trends and consumer needs. Collaborate with US counterparts to develop and deliver informed growth opportunities.
- Act as a change agent to build awareness and vision
Business Development
- In partnership with sales sources, initiates and develops relationships with potential and current clients to build and manage the HRO business development pipeline
- Positions the HRO value proposition to business leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of ADP’s managed HRO solution.
- Ownership of existing and new HRO partnerships and distribution channels and growth within the HRO offering and product
- Serves as a resource to sales leaders in working with prospects and existing clients during the sales, implementation and service processes. Maintaining an effective working relationship with the Sales Organization to accelerate sales, drive revenue growth and ensure compliance.
Large Deal Management
- Lead/Key member of ADP’s Large/Complex Deals Teams helping to define and execute on our deal construction and execution strategy. Play a lead in prospecting, establishing the relationship and facilitating deal closure.
HRO Team Leadership
- Senior leader of a team of human resource outsourcing professionals that provide operational and programmatic support to clients of these services. In doing so, you will also be responsible for delivering Stellar Service and client satisfaction (as measured by Net Promoter Score and client retention.
- Builds and leads a team of associates all collaborating and working together, setting and managing objectives to execute on strategies to deliver business results.
- Develops leaders within the organization by providing developmental assignments, coaching, timely feedback, and guidance. Rewards results and behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of ADP. Develops success and drives ADP Employee Value Proposition throughout the organization.

Training
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in administration (an asset)
Experience
- 10-15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the Human Capital Management industry or related field, with business responsibilities
- Experience as a savvy HR leader for the external market (an asset)
- Ability to provide professional coaching to a high performing, collaborative team in a customer-centric environment, with demonstrated ability to lead a large, geographically dispersed team
- Experience in a US or international subsidiary environment (an asset)
- Strong expertise in HR; author of articles, experience as a presenter and/or moderator at trade shows (an asset)
- Experience in product/system implementation (an asset)
- English/French bilingualism (an asset)

- 10-15+ years of experience of progressive leadership experience in the Human Capital Management industry or similar, with commercial accountabilities
- Experience as an HR thought leader to the external marketplace preferred
- A track record of coaching a high-performing, collaborative team in a client centric driven environment, with proven ability to lead a large, geographically dispersed team.
- Experience in a US or international subsidiary environment preferred
- Strong domain expertise in HR; authored articles, speaking and/or moderating experience at industry trade conferences preferred
- Product/System implementation experience preferred
- Bilingual – French/English preferred
