The Manager, Shared Services, will assist with building out the shared services finance function. The role will focus on and oversee global Accounts Payable, T&E, Accounts Receivable, and Credit and Collections. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will lead and oversee a global team who support critical day to day transaction processing such as vendor payments and inquiries, payment application, and collection activities. This role will be responsible for designing and documenting robust procedures, controls and metrics to support audit compliance and consistent practices across the group. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong financial acumen with the ability to effectively address both financial and operational challenges as well as the ability to navigate and manage external and internal stakeholder relationships. This is a hybrid position (3-4 days per week in our Dublin office).
- Direct daily operations of functional areas including cash receipts, cash disbursements, credit analysis, and receivable collections
- Manage credit and collection function to maximize Company’s working capital
- Ensure financial internal control processes across functional areas are in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assess productivity and consistency of Shared Services functions on an ongoing basis identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies
- Effectively communicate and collaborate cross functionally to assess and identify business and operational improvement opportunities implementing in an efficient and effective manner
- Support external audit and tax processes as needed
- Mentor, coach, and develop global team of associates
Education And/or Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of related accounting or financial experience
- Minimum of 3 years of management, supervisory or lead experience preferably in a Shared Services environment
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
- Proven experience in standardizing and documenting financial processes and procedures, building out controls and applying best practices to ensure effective department workflows
- Knowledge of and experience working with/implementing financial technology solutions to add efficiency and accuracy to financial processes
- Knowledge of Oracle and Infor M3 preferred but not required
- Project management experience with ability and willingness to take ownership of projects and assignments with minimal direction from leadership
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels and lead cross-functional teams
- Track record of developing talent and managing performance
