The Managing Director works with the CDN Board of Directors to enable the growth and efficient operation of the CDN Group Purchasing Programs and Shared Services. This Managing Director implements the strategic initiatives and operational plan for the membership programs while also executing best practices for the financial, operational, and human resources aspects of the entire organization. The Managing Director of the CDN Association will collaborate with the Director of CDN Imports to provide necessary Shared Services for efficient operation of both the CDN Association and CDN Imports organizations.
- GROWTH: Work with the CDN Board of Directors to enable the growth and efficient operation of the CDN Group Purchasing Programs and Shared Services
- IMPLEMENTATION: Implement strategic initiatives and operational plans for membership programs
- DEVELOPMENT: Research and develop new purchase/supply programs
- COMMUNICATION: Establish and maintain communication and market information sharing among the CDN member companies
- EVENT PLANNING: Organize and executive monthly/quarterly conference calls and face-to-face meetings
- RECRUITING: Find and qualify new members for the organization
- PROMOTION: Travel to CDN members to promote programs and participation in all activities.
- COLLABORATE: Work along the Director of CDN Imports to provide necessary shared services (Human Resources, Payroll, Insurance, Goal Setting, Regulatory Requirements)
- FINANCE: Oversee the implementation and recording of all CDN financial transactions
- A background that includes general ledger maintenance and financial statement management
- Experience in coordinated sourcing program development for multiple locations
- Experience implementing HR programs, including all applicable insurance
- Previous employee management within the chemical industry is preferred
