Responsible for oversight and direct staff management of Information Technology operations for a multi-hospital system. Accountable for insuring structured day to day operations, leveraging best practices and core metrics. Provides management responsibilities for all delivery components across the department with strict adherence to documented service levels. Responsible for shared P&L responsibilities for one or more cost centers and the overall profitability of IT operations within the Managed Services business unit.

  • Effective and efficient IT services which meet the needs of client hospital(s)
  • Account profitability which meet revenue and margin requirements set at the corporate level
  • Effective management of the client relationship and resolution of client issues
  • Continuous risk management
  • Effective utilization and management of staff such that milestones/goals are obtained and staff are motivated as well as competent
  • Provide indirect leadership as vendor operations management, direction and process owner to an organization consisting of local and remote resources
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies as defined by the business requirements
  • Onboard new hires, utilizing direct management and oversight of responsibilities in order to quickly maximize performance
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance. Leverage data to monitor this regularly
  • Allocate workload to fully utilize every employee’s talent, meet project objectives and support on-going operations
  • Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum contribution
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance in a timely manner
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
  • Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan
  • Support a culture of accountability and advocate culture to assigned teams on behalf of the organization
  • Collaborate with leaders at the same level within IT/IS and with operational leaders across the health system

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Advanced degree or certifications (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 15+ years relevant work experience in an operating environment

Management Experience

  • 7+ years relevant leadership experience including responsibility for organizational objectives and measurements
