  • Management of the proactive sales team (8 people)
  • Regular exchange with segment specialists to identify and develop new and existing markets, business areas and opportunities
  • Analysis of sales and turnover figures and implementation of appropriate strategies and measures
  • Controlling and success analysis of the implemented measures and their reporting
  • Key Account Management
  • Conducting sales talks
  • Coordination of market and competitive analyses as well as exclusive customer events
  • Networking and representation of the hotel at events and trade fairs
  • Communication with all relevant departments, especially revenue management, marketing and finance, to ensure the long-term commercial success of the hotels
  • Promoting the sales skills of the proactive sales team members through targeted training and qualification measures
  • Conducting regular employee and appraisal interviews
  • Development of suitable sales strategies and sales promotion measures to maximize and achieve hotel sales and other objectives
  • Setting and monitoring the monthly and annual objectives of individual employees and the entire department
  • Establishing innovative solutions to increase efficiency in the sales process
  • Participation in the preparation of the budget and business plan
  • Participation in all relevant internal and external departmental meetings
  • Representation of the Director of Sales & Distribution in his absence
  • Long-term personnel planning in cooperation with the HR department
  • Consideration and compliance with all Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton standards
  • Completed vocational training or degree in the hotel industry or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in sales, ideally in the premium and luxury hotel industry and in an equivalent position
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Confident use of CRM tools
  • Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • Technical sales know-how and sophisticated sales skills
  • Communication skills, teamwork, mentoring and coaching
  • Service orientation and very good time management
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends and strong networking skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and impressive hands-on mentality
  • Strong sales skills and understanding of numbers as well as analytical thinking
  • Independent, precise and responsible working style as well as discreet and confidential handling of internal information
  • Excellent manners, a very well-groomed and friendly appearance as well as a confident and professional demeanor
