We are seeking a Head of Shared Service who will be overseeing / leading the finance shared service function, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of financial operations and services for the group of entities. This role involves managing a sizable team, optimizing processes and implementing best practices to support the Group’s financial objectives.

The ideal candidate must have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal client support across the entire organization and have prior experience in a shared service environment.

This role is based in Malaysia and reports directly to the Group Financial Controller in the Singapore HQ office.

• Lead the Finance Shared Services function, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance operations of our TPA Business Unit; ensure timely and accurate processing of these financial transactions
• Support the Group Finance team in delivering the financial / management reports as per the stipulated requirements to key stakeholders and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis team in providing analysis on any deviations with actual financials
• Business partner to the internal stakeholders and management by providing financial and tactical insight where required
• Liaise with external parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities
• Design and implement financial processes and controls for the business operations, and work with internal & external stakeholders to refine them over time
• Help to identify and mitigate financial risks within the Shared Services operations
• Keep abreast of both local and international accounting and taxation regulations to provide support where necessary to all internal stakeholders
• Provide mentorship / guidance to the team members and work closely with the Group Financial Controller for the talent development and growth of the Shared Service function
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration or related field; CPA / CA preferred
• Minimum 12 years of progressive accounting / finance experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the Finance Shared Services function
• Prior working experience in Big 4 and/or multinational companies will be an added advantage
• Proven track record of managing and/or building high-performing teams
• Great analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and the bigger picture in mind
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude, pragmatic, and able to work independently when required
