We are seeking an experienced Offshore Site Development Director to establish and manage a new shared services location for Markforged. This role is crucial for collaborating with company leadership to align the offshore site with our strategic vision and operational needs, with a particular focus on the manufacturing and 3D industry sectors.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to define the vision and criteria for the new location.
- Site Identification: Scout and assess potential locations for the shared services center.
- Resource Management: Lead the process of staffing and training essential personnel.
- General Management: Serve as the general manager, overseeing all operations at the offshore site.
- Company Alignment: Ensure that the site’s activities are in line with the company’s overall strategy and evolving needs.
- Employee Management: Maintain a focus on staff relations, retention, recruitment, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Required Characteristics:
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Well-Rounded Experience: Proven track record in general management, preferably in an international or offshore context.
- Independence: Ability to operate autonomously and represent the company with minimal supervision.
- Action & Results Driven: Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing plans and achieving tangible results.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Aptitude for working in and adapting to diverse cultural environments.
- Resilience: Ability to understand, respond to, and handle competing / changing priorities in order to meet business needs
- Leadership: As a successful leader you will lead by example and have the ability to foster collaborative working throughout
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Significant demonstrable managerial experience, ideally as a General Manager, COO, or VP of Operations.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector and/or 3D industry is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in Polish, English, with proficiency in other languages being an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in different time zones.
