The People Operations Lead is an experienced leader who drives People Operational excellence and solutions across all aspects of the employee lifecycle and People processes transformation.

This role will contribute in building a shared service centre in providing a first-class People advisory support and services across the business covering our permanent and agency employees and managers. This is a vital role being an advocate for continuous improvement within the team, actively embracing changes and taking ownership of complex processes.

People Advisory And Administration Support

In this role, you will be you be responsible for the people advisory team including day to day people operations function:

  • Lead, coach and mentor our People Shared Service team members by providing expertise in specific areas of People and serve as the internal escalation point to guide junior members towards issue resolution;
  • Act as an escalation point in supporting multiple People operational business processes covering both permanent and agency employees via separate HRIS platforms;
  • Partner closely with CoEs to understand business expectations and specifics around policies, procedures;
  • Actively contribute towards reviewing and establishing company policies and to provide guidance to employees and managers while ensuring compliance and consistency;
  • Support and create a consistent and repeatable positive experience employment cycle for employees such as onboarding process, including ensuring the completion of background checks, preparing contracts of employment, and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders including our global shared services team (SSC) based on Malaysia;
  • Drive special projects, process innovation, and technical enhancements
  • In conjunction with the Head of People Operations and Compensations and Benefits, deliver on the annual People Operations strategic plan with priorities that focus on evolving and embedding our systems, processes, and offerings.

People Policy Management And Execution

  • Establish, maintain and update People Policies, procedures and practices to align with legislation changes and execution of corporate policies and guidelines
  • Provide support to communicate and support managers and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in execution of policies

Agency Management

  • Manage and enhance relationships with our nominated agency partner to ensure high quality of People service delivery to support all aspect of agency employees’ employment life cycle;
  • Develop strategies to further integrate SEAU People processes to deliver a consistent and repeatable positive experience to our agency employees;
  • Bachelor degree in human resources, business administration or similar relevant field;
  • 5-8 years of experience in leading similar People Operations team within a global organisation (Welcome from different industries)
  • Experience in (or exposure to) working with a complex off-shore shared services team
  • Experience with Workday and/or Employment Hero is desirable
  • Previous experience in managing payroll is an advantage, but not essential
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong project, time management and leadership skills are essential
