Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is undergoing a transformation re-establishing itself as a quality provider of efficient and effective services to the whole of organisation. EBS is overhauling several end-to-end processes to deliver a quality service to its internal users (i.e., BUs) and external customers and suppliers globally.
In particular, you will support the VP of Global Capabilities with approach and implementation planning to set up new global transversal capabilities that drive improved outcomes for the functions and BUs supported by EBS. The role acts as an advisor to the Head of EBS strategy in terms of scope expansion, sourcing of third party suppliers, delivery locations and respective roles, customer service and interaction, change strategy and programme agenda. The role will also interface with third party advisors and suppliers that support execution of various components of the EBS journey.
- Expert Steering: Provide support and challenge in developing EBS’s North Star vision, roadmap and measures of success, engaging with stakeholders to drive alignment on, e.g., talent and culture, sourcing, and offshoring. In particular develop efficiency and quality aspirations, corresponding targets and develop roadmap to reach these targets. Consider levers of process, technology, organizational design, location and delivery sourcing options.
- EBS Scoping : Provide industry perspective and thought leadership in the evolution of EBS scope and the overall strategy and roadmap in leadership discussions within EBS and outside, communicating progress and building the case for expansion of EBS scope.
- Strategic execution: Understand the current environment, the gap to the strategic target and develop/ execute plans to reach the target. Clearly identify impact of the proposed change and manage programme to deliver change to quality, time and budget whilst managing risk and its impact on stakeholders.
- Third Party Engagement: Represent EBS in engagements with third party advisors and outsourcing vendors on projects and workstreams that need external support to deliver the expected outcomes, challenging/steering such parties as required.
- Capability building: Upskill colleagues in EBS Strategy and relevant leadership teams on various GBS topics to run the EBS agenda in a self-reliant manner in long term.
- Prior experience defining vision and leading GBS strategy development and execution, and performance management for a large organization.
- Solid understanding of the workings of business services organization, best practices, and centralized structures and capabilities that can enable service lines to execute on the Vision
- Thorough understanding of global best practice including role of strategic suppliers, location strategy and integrated process design
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence, and engage at all levels of the organization and third party advisors and suppliers
- Adeptness at resolving conflicts and managing diverse perspectives across leadership teams, balancing competing interests and priorities to ensure support throughout the transformation process
- Extensive experience in strategy, transformation, or consulting, preferably in a Shared Services / Global Business Services / BPO advisory environment in a global or multinational organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
