Our client is a renowned player within the manufacturing industry with a global presence for over a century. They are currently looking for Purchasing Manager (Shared Services) to join their dynamic team to assist in the business of the company.
- Lead and supervise the team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the timely execution of procurement activities.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational purchasing processes, including requisition processing, purchase order creation etc
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including department heads, project managers, finance teams etc, to understand procurement requirements, forecast demand, and prioritize purchasing activities accordingly.
- Monitor and track purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
- Analyze purchasing data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities for process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in operational purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a track record of managing procurement activities in a shared services environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising and developing a team of purchasing professionals.
- SAP experience is a plus.
