The role reports to the Head of Shared Services and manages team through our Business Process Outsourcer and captive teams. Our current scope is 12 main operating companies Europe plus 1 holding company. The Receivables Director will extend this model across all geographies and drive transformation to achieve both effectiveness improvements and efficiency savings.

Service Excellence:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of AR processes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize errors.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the AR team, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex receivables issues and improve overall service

Service Transition:

  • Plan and manage the transition of AR processes from various business units to the shared services center.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient migration of activities, systems, and personnel.
  • Develop detailed transition plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Train and support staff during transition phases to minimize disruption and maintain service levels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of transitions and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Transformation Initiatives:

  • Drive transformational projects aimed at modernizing and optimizing the AR function.
  • Leverage technology and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in receivables management.
  • Identify and implement best practices to align AR processes with industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to integrate AR systems with broader organizational platforms.

BPO Management:

  • Oversee relationships with BPO providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and performance.
  • Define and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with BPO partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate BPO performance against established SLAs and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of BPO activities to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Manage escalations and resolve any issues or conflicts with BPO providers in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial functions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a shared services environment, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and service excellence.
  • Demonstrated success in managing service transitions and driving large-scale transformations.
  • Expertise in working with BPO providers and managing outsourced financial processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with automation tools is a plus.
