The P2P Regional Manager is responsible for operations and strategic direction for the Procure to Pay (P2P) function, which includes the Procurement team and the Payments & Expense team.
The role ensures efficiency of P2P operations, with a focus on streamlining, simplifying, and leveraging technology for greatest utility across the entire procure-to-pay cycle, while also addressing evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Efficiently manage vendor data, purchase orders, invoice processes, and resolve discrepancies.
- Drive process improvements, including the implementation of automation in SAP.
- Oversee travel and entertainment programs, including card issuance, SAP Concur management, and fraud detection.
- Ensure compliance with policies, develop expertise in global business processes like the Ariba SAP Supplier Portal system, and maintain service levels with stakeholders through structured reviews and monthly KPIs.
- Provide regional leadership in Purchase Order Processing, Vendor Master Data, Disbursements, T&E, Technology Enablement, and Freight Rating.
- Additionally, support, supervise, recruit, train, and develop the Kuala Lumpur-based team of requisition-to-pay professionals.
- 15 years of requisition-to-pay/finance experience with knowledge and understanding of shared services centers.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP finance modules and basic knowledge of other SAP functional areas (Materials Management, Production Planning, Sales, and Distribution).
- Extensive experience leading large teams of employees handling knowledge-based and transactional activities in finance and/or accounting.
- Strong strategic leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills to balance the regional aspects of the position with the global environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing operational budgets, promoting a continuous improvement culture, and driving action to meet challenging operational metrics.
