The Sr. Director of Treasury Operations and Finance Shared Services is responsible for leading and directing all transactional and operational treasury and accounting processes, while also delivering strategic support and analysis. This role provides the strategic leadership and global oversight for process and policies for Accounts Payable, Credit & Collections, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Liquidity operations, which also includes forecasting, treasury accounting, banking operations, and working capital performance management. As a strategic member of the Finance and Accounting leadership team, the Sr. Director of Treasury Operations and Finance Shared Services leads transformation initiatives such as process changes, automation, and enhanced decision support to business partners.

  • Develops and implements a global finance shared service strategy that collaborates with the business, integrating various systems and countries while establishing uniform policies, procedures, and tools across business units.
  • Designs and deploys treasury strategies aimed at optimizing liquidity, funding, and investments.
  • Oversees the integration of treasury and shared services with broader finance and operational strategies.
  • Provides appropriate KPI’s, dashboards, and analysis to measure and improve team performance and working capital management.
  • Oversees the month end accounting processes for applicable areas – including but not limited to Allowance for Credit Losses analysis, accruals, and sub-ledger reconciliation.
  • Evaluates business processes to identify and implement standardization, cost reductions, and improvement in accuracy, timeliness, and working capital efficiency.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships by collaborating cross functionally, communicating frequently with stakeholders, and providing transparency to projects and initiatives. Establishes credibility as a trusted advisor and thoughtful decision-making partner.
  • Oversees the internal controls in respective Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Revenue business cycles. Includes maintenance of the control documentation.
  • Oversees cash management functions globally, including daily cash position, wires, account transfers, intercompany loans, and bank account administration. Ensures appropriate delegation of authorities are managed, including signors.
  • Oversees short- and long-term cash forecasting, focusing on working capital improvements and optimization of cash position.
  • Leads bank structure optimization, rationalizes bank accounts and services, and creates a fully automated process for transactions through reconciliation.
  • Develops investment policy and explores opportunities for investment.
  • Collaborates with IT on financial systems, system utilization, and system enhancements. Coordinates with IT to drive solutions for reporting improvements and ERP capability. Ensures implementation of requisite system changes to support the business unit’s needs.
  • Leads or participates cross-functionally on projects that deliver business unit growth, continuous improvement, or compliance. Establishes project teams and plans, assigns responsibilities, and facilitates meetings to ensure goal attainment.
  • Ensures team success by providing ongoing coaching and development, recognition, open and honest communication, and an overall engaging environment. Leads and mentors the team to drive collaborative and continuous improvement goals.
  • Protects the confidentiality, security, and integrity of company and customer information.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to the company’s finance treasury policies and practices.
  • Participates in industry and other professional networks to leverage market trends that may affect the business or the direction for strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs.

Minimum Education & Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in treasury management, finance operations, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in process improvements and developing systematic process.
  • Extensive experience across shared services metrics and reporting.
  • Technical experience with financial systems and Microsoft Excel, with specific experience in optimizing business technology tools to improve business processes.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and deep understanding of cash management and liquidity forecasting.

  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment, where effective decision making and rapid iteration are essential, and priorities shift frequently.
  • Experience with and deep understanding of setting strategy, decision-making, and methods to influence strategies.
  • Proven ability to comfortably move from strategic to tactical, responding to the demands of the business.
