Leads the GBS Manila Finance Service Delivery Team supporting General Accounting, Intercompany and FP&A processes, in terms of people, performance and transformation. Provides strategic direction as well key decisions around the Finance Transformation activities impacting the center. Liaise, coordinate and resolve issues with key stakeholders including global, regional and local country Controllership. Ultimate responsibility to maintain integrity of accounting processes and internal controls. Responsible to lead the coordination/execution of audit work of PwC, SOX and IA teams. Drive quality and efficient General Accounting, Intercompany and FP&A* Operations as defined in SLAs, and operational scorecards
- In partnership with the CI team, continuously look for opportunities to improve process and cost efficiency in operations that will support the Company’s Finance Transformation initiatives
- Provide leadership in the resolution of issues, operational, financial, or control related, with internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders would be GRBS associates but also local FDs and Controllers
- Ultimately responsible to maintain robust system of internal controls, including compliance with SOX regulations. Ensure that identified control and internal audit gaps are remediated on a timely basis
- Effectively coordinate the scheduling of the various audit engagements (SOX, IA, External) to enable a smooth execution and minimal disruption to business operations
- Promote and retain talent through continuous learning and development opportunity
- Tertiary qualifications preferably with a major in finance and/or accounting. Certified accounting qualifications – CPA
- 10-15 years in corporate accounting in a management position preferably in a multinational organization
- Previous experience in shared service operations
- Experience with audit procedures and controls
- Experience in managing large teams and stakeholders with diverse culture
- Accounting / auditing experience in a large, global independent registered accounting firm with US GAAP experience is desired
- CPA or similar professional certification is a must
- Lean Six Sigma Certified is a plus; Ability to drive and sustain performance and promote a culture of change
- Ability to influence functional leaders outside of Finance in driving cost and process efficiencies and strong control environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to support a global team that supports different timezones
