This position is responsible for HR Operations Delivery excellence in China, including develop and rollout operation governance framework, define control points, dashboard, escalation model; Lead process re-engineering initiatives, define continuous improvement opportunity and design and deployment solutions to elevate efficiency and employee experience.
- Establish/uplift HR operation governance framework to ensure consistent delivery with high quality, good people experience and full compliance.
- Drive process re-engineering for people experience, simplification, efficiency, quality control and risk avoidance.
- Solution design to enable Chanel P&O agenda with leveraging HR digital solution.
- Monitor performance of internal (and external), design and rollout issue solving and escalation processes.
- Responsible for proposing industry best practices, improved controls, and using this knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the HR services pillars.
- Partner with Workplace Right, People Technology, People & Process team to maintain compliance in line with market legislation and company policy with a strong focus on data privacy and process compliance.
- Lead needed operations project delivery of change initiatives to agreed timelines and budget, whilst ensuring adherence to appropriate project governance and change management frameworks.
- Responsible for managing third parties to drive superior outcomes and future-fit operations services for Chanel.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define third parties’ SLA and SOP and co-own the management for local vendors.

- Project & Change Management – actively planning, coordinate, update and monitor all project and change activities (for the related in-scope projects) against planned timelines. Pro-actively calls out risks, escalates issues and suggests mitigation steps to achieving planned milestones.
- Process improvement – lean leadership skillset on opportunity identification, problem solving, performance governance establishment, quality check mechanism set up.
- Risk and Issue Management – Prevents, anticipates, and identifies issues and risks related to the Ops Services and ops related projects. Conducts root cause analysis and proposes feasible solutions / mitigation steps where necessary. Manages overall issue and risk logs and facilitates required discussions to address these risks/issues.
- Solution design skillset with strong connection with HR digital tools for enablement.
- Excellent communication skills with different stakeholders, collaboration with peers, influencing capability with different project team members.
- Vendor management – Ensure vendors deliver the expected project deliverables upon agreed timelines.
- Team Management – Lead and mentor team, fostering meaningful growth and providing professional coaching. (Better to have)
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Post graduate qualification of Human Resources / Psychology / Business is an advantage.
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
Work Experience & Required Competencies
- Minimum 7-10 years with specialized experience in Shared Services organization, preferably in multinational organizations
- Strong experience leading and implementing process improvements.
- Familiar with local labor law and regulations
- Highly analytical, meticulous, organized and results oriented.
- Strong drive to make things happen.
- Strong capability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage professionally with different levels of stakeholders for close work partnership locally, regionally.
