The Senior Leader, Integration and Operations will be a member of the Risant Leadership Team and report directly to the CEO of Risant Health.

Operations and Integration Leadership:

  • Lead Operations for Risant Health: Builds and leads Operations for Risant Health. This includes managing direct operations within Risant Health (Integration, HR, shared service development and operations, Communities of Practice) as well as coordinating support for Risant Health provided by Kaiser Permanente or Risant Health organizations.
  • Provide strategic oversight of integrations: Oversees integration(s) of new Risant Health organizations as they join Risant Health. Provides senior level oversight of the Integration Management and Performance function. Procures and manages senior-level subject-matter expert support as needed to support integrations.
  • Coordinate operational requirements across Risant Health organizations:Serves as a conduit between Risant Health and Risant Health organizations’ operations. Maintains a comprehensive view on the operational performance and needs of Risant Health organizations and supports Risant Health organization leaders in addressing any operational gaps through Risant shared services or facilitating the sharing of best practices or capabilities from Kaiser Permanente or Risant Health organizations, as appropriate.
  • Performance excellence and continuous improvement: Champions a culture of performance excellence by establishing rigorous performance metrics and accountability frameworks. This role will involve continuous assessment of operational processes and outcomes, driving initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Change management: Leads and champions change management plans associated with business initiatives by leveraging and developing key stakeholder relationships to obtain support and buy in for changes; ensures executive management, project/program champions, and business owners communicate and align improvement initiatives to guide long-term business strategy; and empowers stakeholders to embrace a change management mindset, understand intent and purpose, and foster a culture of change.

Facilitate Cross Risant Health and Risant Health Organizations Collaboration:

  • Develop Shared Services functions: Identifies and establishes which shared service functions to build within Risant Health to benefit Risant Health organizations. Engages with business leaders across organizations to understand business needs and identifies shared services opportunities. Evaluates proposed shared services, builds an initial team to support the delivery of shared services as well as timelines and milestones for scaling operations of services, drives change management efforts to promote adoption of the shared service model.

Facilitate Cross-Enterprise (Kaiser Permanente, Risant Health, and Risant Health organizations) Collaboration:

  • Interface across organizations: When needed, takes the lead on interfacing with Kaiser Permanente or Risant Health organizations to align on business needs and ensure proper support is delivered to Risant Health and Risant Health organizations. Ensures select services provided to the Risant Health corporate entity by the broader Kaiser Permanente enterprise, including communications, government relations, brand and communications, information security, legal, ethics and compliance, and supply chain, meet Risant Health business needs.

Multi-year Business Planning:

  • Strategy translation and execution: Translates Risant Health’s business strategy into actionable business initiatives, requirements, and work plans for the corporate parent. Leads the development of multi-year roadmaps prioritize and phase Risant Health’s business initiatives and to bring Risant Health from an initial start-up to an operating organization.
  • Performance management:Defines performance metrics, standards, and methods to establish business success. In partnership with the Risant Health Finance Team, oversees the development and assessment of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cohesive and reachable targets.
  • Business plan development:Develops initial business plans to support new or expanded Risant Health services in collaboration with other Risant leaders. Gains cross-functional support for plans, activities, and milestones. Facilitates regular review of plans, adjusting as needed based on changing performance data and market context.
  • Internal consulting collaboration: Closely collaborates with Risant’ s Chief of Staff to operationalize strategic initiatives and special projects. The Senior Leader of Integration and Operations will be ultimately responsible for the success of strategic projects.
  • Risant Health business development support: Represents Risant Health business operations in conversations with candidate organizations throughout the Business Development process.

Experience

  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience in a senior leadership role, with direct reports.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in health care operations.

Additional Qualifications (preferred):

  • Experience in national leadership roles in healthcare strategy, planning, consulting, communications, business operations and/or finance. Familiarity with Kaiser Permanente is preferred.
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving start-up environment.
  • A proven track record of using data to support business decision making
  • Must exhibit executive presence, possess excellent writing and oral communication skills, and be able to demonstrate experience building and maintaining relationships with executives, business stakeholders and external parties such as the media and government.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team with a heavily matrixed component and operating in an environment that has demanded the ability to operate and remain effective in politically complex and challenging situations.
  • Political savviness / ability to influence.
  • Ability to leverage an agile approach in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving start-up environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with ability to foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation alongside other senior leaders and subordinates.
