The Senior Manager Business Planning is responsible for assisting Shared Services Group Strategy and Planning Management in the creation and implementation of business planning processes. This includes managing teams, supervising business operations, designing strategic plans based on forecasts, and providing recommendations for improvements. The role involves preparing and controlling the Shared Services budget, analyzing financial reports, performing cost-benefit analyses, and evaluating funding allocation. Additionally, the Senior Manager oversees vendor management, searching for alternative vendors, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Manage the Purchase Request (PR) cycle, focusing on cultivating relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic needs prior to project kick off.
  • Conduct comprehensive vendor evaluations, establish strong partnerships, and refine the PR process to enhance vendor interactions.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to set clear standards for Managed Services contracts, ensuring alignment with the organization’s expectations.
  • Assist in preparing the strategic plan by analyzing trends and forecasts to inform CAPEX and OPEX budgeting.
  • Finalize and close the Operational Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets for the fiscal year, ensuring all expenditures are accounted for and documented.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to analyze and report on variances between actual spending and budgeted amounts, and develop Zero-Based Savings reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Standardization with Procurement: Collaborate with the procurement team to set clear standards for Managed Services contracts, ensuring alignment with the bank’s expectations.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, vendors, service providers, and clients to align deliveries with business and organizational expectations.
  • Develop solutions and roadmaps that address business needs and assess potential impacts, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years progressive professional experience in Business Planning, Budgeting or Process Management.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Demonstrate verbal and written skills, ability to develop cogent argument and present them to a range of stakeholders and executive.
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel Formulas and Functions and Presentation is a must
  • Bilingual (English/Arabic) language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on technically complex projects.
  • Understands and acts upon the principles of ownership, responsibility and accountability.

  • Timely delivery of assigned tasks with Quality.
