We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Corporate Rewards & Performance to oversee the compensation and benefits (C&B) strategy, performance management, and corporate services functions. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing a fair and innovative rewards strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives and drives employee engagement and retention. The successful candidate will manage a team of three managers and lead critical functions including payroll, HR shared services, insurance, and medical benefits while ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation analysis, particularly in the mining sector, and will have a track record of managing complex reward structures, including expat compensation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance the operational aspects of C&B with the need for innovation and fairness in remuneration practices to support business growth and enhance the sense of belonging within the organization.
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s corporate rewards and performance management strategy.
- Manage the team overseeing performance management analysis, operations, payroll, HR shared services, insurance, and medical benefits.
- Drive innovation in the rewards strategy to enhance fairness, transparency, and competitiveness in remuneration practices, increasing employee engagement and retention.
- Ensure effective management of employee benefits, including expat payroll, insurance, medical benefits, and bonus distribution.
- Conduct regular compensation and benefits analysis, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to align reward strategies with broader business objectives and contribute to talent retention and development plans.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth implementation and communication of rewards programs and performance metrics.
- Provide strategic advice and thought leadership on compensation trends, ensuring the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
- Oversee corporate services, including HR shared services, ensuring efficient delivery of HR operations to employees.
- Support the company’s ambitious growth plans by providing key insights and data-driven recommendations on compensation and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Compensation and Benefits (C&B) are preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in C&B and rewards management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative reward strategies, including experience with expat compensation and benefits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed compensation analysis and provide strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and experience driving results-oriented performance strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading diverse teams across different functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on aligning reward systems to organizational growth and strategic objectives.
