Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.
The Sr Manager, Finance & Analysis Global Business Services will report to Finance Senior Director GBS and will be responsible for assisting with managing and tracking costs for our finance transformation program (Project Morpheus) across all brands. This role will be responsible for coordination between the Finance Sr. Director, Enterprise PMO, and Brand Leads (IT and Business) to ensure we have a consistent approach in capturing and revising estimates for resourcing (internal and external) within each brand, managing professional services expense, and capital investments.
The Sr Manager will be accountable for maintaining the overall transformation budget, with over $50m in investments, working to ensure each workstream and initiative is accurately accounted for. This includes initiatives such as our SAP S/4 implementation, SAP Central Finance, Blackline, Conga, Vertex, and other strategic initiatives. In addition to managing and capturing ongoing costs, this role will be responsible for assisting their manager in ensuring a process is in place for reviewing, reporting, and tracking incoming invoices in relation to service providers and other expenses to maintain sound controls in cost management and supplier relationships.
- Manage all program costs related to our finance transformation program (Morpheus) over the next 2 years, ensuring completeness of costs in consolidated reporting from across the brands as well as alignment of spend against budgets/forecasts, meetings attended, and agreements reviewed
- Work with both vendors and the accounting teams to ensure appropriate reporting of capitalized costs
- Develop governance processes and reporting cadence in support of above cost tracking and cost management
- Ensure awareness, transparency and visibility of all program costs, including socialization with senior leadership as part of a monthly reporting package.
- Develop benefit analysis related to transformation investments, and track and manage accordingly
- Create process scorecards, work to report on efficiency and effectiveness of processes ; perform benchmarking, and work with GPOs and process leads to report on outcomes of business processes
- Assist operational excellence organization with process taxonomy and performance improvement opportunity tracking
- Collaborate with the transfer pricing tax teams to ensure appropriate understanding and documentation of projects to determine allocation among brands in compliance with tax regulations. Oversee all cross charges to other brands.
- Review agreements for Morpheus projects, identifying financial impacts that impact budgets and determining solutions for items outside of the budget
- Provide responses to ad hoc requests from leadership teams and other finance/tax teams
- Business or Accounting degree mandatory, a master’s in business administration is preferred
- CPA preferred
- PMP or related certifications
- 10+ years of progressive work experience in finance, accounting with 3-5 years shared services environment or in a consulting capacity – including work with large global organizations within or supporting FP&A functions
- Proficiency with planning, budgeting, and analysis tools such as Anaplan, Vena Solutions, OneStream FP&A software or Hyperion Planning
- Understanding of relational database and comfortable working with large sets of data (finance and operational data)
- Proficiency with data analysis tools like SQL and ETL concept,
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps experience
- Solid understanding of complex databases and data warehouses
- Experience in a Productivity & Performance Management team/role would be a plus
- Analytical and problem solving capacities to synthesize large quantities of complex data to generate meaningful insights
- Proven ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership both internally and externally, and influence peers and senior management in a complex, geographically dispersed matrix organization
