Financial Management
- Oversee financial management for a division of $30M+ and growing with full P&L management and regular reporting to Division Leaders
- Own all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting documents
- Owner Northwest Center & Client Budget Management
- Creates all new business financial proformas, focusing on growth and future state structure to serve Northwest Center and our client best
- Audit procedures to ensure all programs follow company policies. Offer feedback and direction to Leadership on system or policy improvements required to ensure effective results
- Identify any potential risks and opportunities to the business and drive for improved financial results
- Promote good project management practices across the organization on projects and continuous improvement programs
- Overseeing projects with multiple workstreams and complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
- Utilizing superior analytical and problem-solving skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and quantitative analyses, and familiarity with both accounting and operating metrics
Rhythm of Business
- Create, establish, and drive the rhythm of the business for the division and work with various organizations to coordinate business processes and management control processes. Collect and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual SLA’s and KPI’s
- Drive the divisional executive team, managing the planning process and ensuring coordination with corporate and client planning processes as well as planning integration across the broader Northwest Center organization
- Work with cross-division and cross-company and team counterparts to manage team participation as needed for key business events, next fiscal year planning, running business reviews, and other strategic business planning activities
Strategy & Partnership
- Partner with Senior and Executive team members on long-term growth initiatives for the division, providing insight into effectiveness and impact.
- Design project plans to advance the company’s information systems, implement said plans upon approval, assign project activities to personnel, and monitor milestones and completion progress
- Develop and implement effective evaluation methods to assess division strengths and areas in need of address and improvement
- Become the solutions provider and subject matter expert of the Shared Services team and broader NWC@Amazon division, removing roadblocks and program challenges and working with the leadership team on scalable solutions
People
- Managing a small leadership team that is responsible for finance, process, training, and project management
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive, action-oriented, and team-player approach
- Understands and promotes Northwest Center’s mission throughout the workplace, working as an ambassador of the OneNWC culture
- Fostering an inclusive and diverse culture through initiatives, training & education, communications, and implementing optimizations based on high-level goals on the Shared Services team as well as across the NWC @ Amazon division
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Finance and Business Management of a performing organization with direct supervision of management-level staff
- Experience in budget management and oversight over company P&L and operational planning to meet financial targets
- Background leading change management across a nationally dispersed organization
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, and prior experience with financial management systems (Vena preferred)
- PMP or other Project Management Certifications preferred
- Experience in process documentation and improvement and capacity planning preferred
- Background leading strategic planning and execution across a corporate organization preferred
- Detailed-oriented and thorough, with the ability to see the “big picture”
- Regularly seeks new and improved methodologies for enhancing the effectiveness of the organization. Employs imagination and creativity in the application of duties and responsibilities. Most importantly, you are not averse to change.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The ability to work nights and weekends as needed
