We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Shared Services to lead multiple functions within the Finance + Accounting team including, but not limited to, cash applications and accounts payable. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving the efficiency + effectiveness of transactional processes. This role will be responsible for accurate + timely payments to vendors, application of cash, and management of travel.

  • Ensuring the effective operation of the team and taking a “hands-on” approach when needed
  • Manage vendor relations + disbursements made via check, ACH, credit card and wires
  • Manage cash applications including coordinating + transacting cash, card, and check activities with stores + banks ensuring timely posting of collections
  • Manage expense report transaction processing in accordance with the company policy
  • Build strong processes + procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness in daily operations
  • Meet operational standards by providing accounting information to strategic plans + forecasts; suggests ideas for improvement; works with team leads to implement process improvements + reporting metrics
  • This role will be responsible for all IRS reporting and compliance in the area of AP
  • Ensure vendor payments are processed within the company guidelines
  • Manage monthly + quarterly closing including ensuring accuracy and timeliness of liability accounts and reconciliation of accounts payable aging
  • Perform disbursement analysis to ensure accuracy of expense coding + resolve vendor payment issues
  • Provide input to the cash flow forecast
  • Analyze payable activities for performance, including timeliness, accuracy
  • Management of teams which includes; hiring, training, coaching, developing and appraising job performance
  • Reduces risk of fraud + financial reporting misstatement by following internal controls
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information + trends
  • Builds strong relationships through regular communication between the company, internal customers, and its vendors
  • 7+ years AP and cash application management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years directing or managing/supervising experience
  • Evidence of team building/motivational skills coupled with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to resolve problems and conflicts; ability to analyze complex situations
  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills, capable of fostering accountability, ownership, and delegation where appropriate
  • Self-starter motivation and capability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Exhibits a high degree of customer service to internal customers and business partners across the organization
  • Ability to solve problems and apply creative and timely solutions
