A thrilling Senior Manager, Financial Accounting (P2P) job has just become available at a leading multinational technology company based in Penang. In this role, you are responsible for growing and developing corporate and international finance functions for the company. In this role, you need to deliver a professional and consistent service to drive process improvement, automation and standardisation at global shared service level.

• Take full responsibility for planning, executing, and delivering results for accounts payable
• Set plans and objectives for functional group and at the organisation level for shared services
• Be responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close processes for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials where applicable
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable local and international regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate
• Work closely with direct stakeholders on process optimisation and risk management for P2P
• Set up KPIs to drive process efficiency and headcount optimisation

• Professional degree in finance/accounting and professional qualifications (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 15 or more years of work experience with at least 10 years in a leadership position, preferably in a fast-paced technology industry
• Experience in automation projects, LEAN or RPA
• Experience building and expanding a centre of excellence
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local country accounting standards
• Strong team player with experience working in a dynamic organisation and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders
• Strong communication, influencing skills including ability to step up in challenging status quo when necessary
• Proven track record of team development, process efficiency, quality improvement and innovating finance workloads
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external customers, including audit/statutory engagement
