The Team You Will Be a Part Of
The Finance Operations team reviews, evaluates, develops, implements, maintains and verifies internal and business controls for processes, systems, financial statements, journals and reports in compliance with corporate objectives and government standards such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) or the 8th Company Law Directive. Ensures that documentation for all processes across the organization is reviewed and updated periodically. May coordinate with external auditors to prepare the attestation of management assessment on internal controls.
This Role In Summary
This role will be the part of Shared Services Centre responsible for managing team in the areas of Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Customer Claims, Treasury, Customer Master Data Management and Continuous improvement.
Shift timing: Working hours based on US Working Hours (IST 12.30 PM – 9.30 PM)
Key Stakeholders
Internal: North America Region shared service center team including AP and AR, IC parties, Treasury and IT, NAR SSC Head, Internal Audit etc.
External: Banks, vendors etc.
- Provide expertise and guidance on Master Data Management best practices and coordinate implementation of MDM projects
- Oversee Cash applications team for managing Check, Wire, EDI, Credit Cards etc. and ensure cash receipts are processed as per SLAs
- Supporting Cash GL closing timelines
- Administrating AoDocs system for dedicated workflow execution
- Oversee treasury support activities including Foreign exchange trades and settlements bank account openings, insurance data collection and various regulatory compliance for treasury
- Accounting review and Blackline Reconciliation for inter-company transactions, bank posting, chargeback, bank fees etc.
- Review various payments posting including credit cards, netting, IC, D2C payments etc.
- Supporting audit queries and timely responding
- Owner for various process controls including Order to Cash
- Review of Monthly Benefits Reports like Headcount, Cash Variance Analysis, Plant Burden Entries, as well as participating in the annual profit plan activities
- Review end to end AP/AR activities, including monthly netting and payment process
- Coordinating with internal & external stakeholders on process related activities
- Review team deliveries & performance pertaining the process requirements
- Participating and supporting in team’s continuous improvement journey
- Providing support to the team in resolution of queries leading to quality performance of process
- Leading a highly engaged team of 17 resources responsible for Stakeholders Management, Business Partnering, KPIs delivery wrt AR, AP and Closing and Reporting
- Capacity planning for team members to ensure optimum resources utilization.
- Ensuring SOPs and Work Documentation for all the processes and work areas.
- Driving automation initiatives, RPAs and Lean Ideas in the processes.
- Coach and build high performing teams, developing talent pool to manage contingencies and succession planning
Minimum Requirements
- Education: CA/MBA Finance
- Number of years of experience: 10 – 15 years (MNC & SSC exp. preferred)
- Team leadership experience preferably in an India centric Shared Services environment
- Expert knowledge of P2P, O2C and R2R processes
- Exposure of SAP, Blackline, Microsoft and Google Suite (excel etc.)
- Treasury management processes and system
- Accounting knowledge
- Master data process knowledge & data process architecture understanding
- Hands-on SAP expertise (FICO)
- Hands-on experience of US GAAP accounting standards
