Senior Manager Level, Finance Shared Services Center/ Business Services Manager (Internal title) in Asia under the Asahi Business Services (“ABS”) center.

The Business Services Manager in Asia will oversee Accounting Services in Asia and act as the main point of contact for escalations and ABS services within the markets (Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan).

He/she will collaborate with the ABS Finance Director to ensure daily operations align with agreed-upon KPIs, monitor financial control, governance, and efficient accounting processing, and ensure timely internal and external financial reporting.

Additionally, the job holder will support the Head of Finance of respective markets in audits, credit, and overall financial risk for a specific market(s).

Key deliverables:

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of market(s) finance services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting, ensuring high-quality and timely processing.
• Provide operational leadership and guidance to the finance business services operations team, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of operational excellence.
• Ensure alignment with the market Head of Finance, manage the annual budget/financial forecast for balance sheet and cash flow, and actions/projects derived from it to provide insights into managing the departmental cost budget.
• Create, maintain, and enforce accounting policies in accordance with statutory accounting and tax requirements and group reporting requirements.
• Authorize credit limits to third-party customers up to the threshold set in the Credit policy.
• Prepare the Annual Financial Statements (under both IFRS and local GAAP). Design, implement, and maintain the market’s financial reporting framework. Manage external audit of financial statements.
• Provide oversight on the implementation and performance of effective and efficient process controls in Finance in accordance with Internal Controls process guidelines (e.g., J-SOX).
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technology solutions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to implement new systems, tools, and technologies to optimize finance operations.

Education:

• BSc & /MA degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA) or local equivalents is mandatory

Years of Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in managing teams / managing operations in shared services or outsourcing functions is a must.
• 10+ years of finance accounting experience.
• Solid regional experience (e.g., mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan) will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements.
• Experience in change and transformation projects, including process reengineering, technology implementations, and cultural change initiatives.

Language skills/levels:

• English on a business professional level and the Asian market language (Mandarin) are musts for the market this job holder will support.

Computer literacy requirements:

• Advanced IT/excel skills, prior SAP finance system tools such as Blackline is an advantage
