As Senior Manager – Omnichannel Tech Operations Technology JVs, you will serve as the main liaison between Chalhoub Group’s shared services and its Joint Ventures, aligning business needs with growth strategies. You will drive value by proactively anticipating needs, managing relationships, and ensuring seamless delivery of services across various functions. This role requires strong communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable solutions, while overseeing key projects, handling escalations, and fostering innovation to support JV growth and competitive advantage.
- Contribute to the broader group’s Tech strategy, serving as the commercial partner to understand business needs and ensure the JV businesses have a voice in shaping the group’s strategy, particularly from a shared services perspective.
- Build capabilities aligned with business needs, focusing on maintaining a competitive advantage.
- Foster relationships with global C-level executives at key JV headquarters, co-creating the strategic vision for the Middle East for the Maisons.
- Participate in seminars and conferences to stay informed on new solutions that could add value for partners.
- Drive the adoption of e-Commerce services by engaging and onboarding more JVs.
- Support the 3YP strategies, continuously challenge them, and propose innovative processes and resources to support the vision.
Operational
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all strategic demands from the JVs, ensuring delivery in collaboration with the commercial vertical.
- Manage the 360-degree e-commerce deployment for JVs, as well as specific services like customer service, last-mile delivery, and digital payments.
- Oversee escalations from JVs, prioritizing, delegating, and ensuring the resolution of requests.
- Guide JVs as they transition to their global systems.
- Prioritize demands within the vertical portfolio in collaboration with different departments.
- Filter and pre-validate demands based on business information.
- Lead workshops with the business to define requirements and capture pain points.
- Collaborate with Operations, Omnichannel, and Technology leadership to identify potential solutions and translate business needs into successful projects.
- Oversee the development of feasibility studies for potential solutions and track proposals through the demand lifecycle.
- Manage communication between strategic departments and key business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments and JVs to identify common activities and synergies.
- Track the execution and delivery of key department projects from the business’s perspective.
- Assess the capabilities required to unlock measurable business benefits.
Financials
- Ensure all projects deliver measurable and positive ROI for the business.
- Evaluate the actual benefits of Group initiatives post-Go Live, highlighting any variances and working with relevant teams to recommend corrective actions.
- Assist JV Management in budget discussions and shared services inputs.
People Management
- Provide regular updates to JV Management leadership on shared services activities.
- Participate in monthly business reviews to share escalations, achievements, strategic decisions, and operational issues with leadership for guidance or action.
- Influence and motivate team members from various departments to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor team members’ performance and provide formal and informal feedback to maximize efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced technical skills, including knowledge of enterprise IT architecture, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.
