Our client is a renowned player within the Manufacturing industry with a global presence for over a century. They are currently looking for Senior Payroll Specialist (Mandarin / Japanese Speaker) to join their dynamic team to assist in the business of the company.
- Payroll and Compliance Management: Manage regional payroll solutions, time and attendance, and statutory processing to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while providing accurate and timely centralized reporting for personnel cost management and forecasting.
- Process Efficiency and Service Delivery: Implement process efficiency and automation initiatives, resolve complex HR issues, and uphold high customer service standards by monitoring performance metrics.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with country HR and Corporate HR to deliver effective HR solutions while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvements in Shared Services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in payroll processing, specifically in China and/or Japan.
- Fluency in Mandarin is essential; candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in Mandarin. Proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations in China and/or Japan.
- Experience in multinational (MNC) companies or a Shared Services environment is a plus.
- Must be able to work in Penang
