We are looking for a Senior People Manager Ukraine to join our team in Odessa, Pivdennyi Port, Ukraine. In this role, you will be a primary point of contact and responsible for a team of HR generalists and administration personnel, ensuring alignment with regional strategies while managing compliance, labor relations, and employee issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local compliance matters, including labor and employee relations, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Standardize and implement HR policies and practices across the site, collaborating with Cluster HR Leaders to drive consistency.
- Manage local pay structures in coordination with payroll teams and cultivate effective relationships with work councils and/or unions.
- Lead terminal workforce planning efforts and oversee talent strategy implementation, working closely with Talent Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
- Facilitate recruitment initiatives, coordinating with Business Centers (BCs) to meet staffing needs effectively.
- Collaborate with HR Operations leaders to implement shared services and centralize transactional activities.
- Align with Cluster HR Leaders on communication strategies for works councils, coordinating with legal as needed.
- Partner with regional COEs, vertical HRBPs, and business leaders to ensure delivery of essential HR practices, including workforce planning, succession planning, safety oversight, turnover management, and performance management.
- Drive the rollout of DP World culture at the site and promote internal appreciation for the strategic value of HR initiatives.
- Model and promote Our Principals for local leaders and HR team members, implementing action plans aligned with organizational values.
- Take responsibility for delivering country/cluster metrics and respond to Union and Governmental formal complaints, potentially negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
- Undertake other duties as assigned to support the overall HR objectives and organizational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field relevant to the position.
- Possess more than 3 years of experience in HR leadership roles, demonstrating proficiency in various aspects of HR management.
- Proven track record in recruiting, retaining, and developing high-performing HR teams to support organizational objectives effectively.
- Extensive experience in change management, adept at navigating and facilitating transitions within the organization.
- Strong HR generalist background specific to the respective country, ensuring compliance and efficiency in HR practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in labor relations, handling negotiations and maintaining positive relations with unions or works councils.
- Exceptional process orientation with a successful history of implementing cross-regional HR alignment initiatives.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications to effectively manage HR processes and data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining productive relationships across all departments and business units within the respective country.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the country as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Proficiency in English language skills, with a minimum level of Upper Intermediate, to effectively communicate and collaborate in an international environment.
