The Senior Principal Product Manager, Platform will report to the Senior Director of Product Management and work closely with product, engineering, UX, and operational leaders to develop and optimize shared services and platform investments that power the interoperability of the Tricentis portfolio of products.
- Product Platform Strategy – develop and execute a comprehensive platform strategy that enables the company’s overall business goals
- Platform Planning & Execution – partner with the senior product leadership team to develop a deep understanding of the products in our portfolio and determine the highest priorities for platform investment
- Shared Services Development – collaborate with engineering to develop shared services that enable customer value and help facilitate product cross-sell in our portfolio
- Drive Adoption – act as a thought leader for shared services team and work with product line leaders to prioritize and adopt these solutions
- Team Building – work with product and engineering leadership to determine product and engineering investments to make in shared services and platform
- 10+ years of experience in product management and/or engineering leadership
- Strong strategic thinking, ability to see the big picture, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders; energized by opportunities to connect dots across the organization
- High EQ; demonstrated ability and history of communicating diplomatically by default but with an equal ability to have hard conversations at all levels including the c-suite
- Experience driving adoption of shared services with product line leaders and their teams
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience building and managing high-functioning, technical product teams
- Experience with designing, developing and shipping commercial software
- Solid understanding of the customer journey from problem to implemented solution and the systems that are part of enabling that journey
- Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and growth-mindset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of cloud technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
