The Senior Strategic Sourcing and Category Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within an assigned portfolio of indirect sourcing categories, which include labour hire & logistics, and a NZ country lead to assist with other indirect categories of goods and services as required. This is a full time permanent position based in Auckland.
- development of category strategies,
- identification of cost saving opportunities,
- facilitating and leading sourcing projects,
- supplier negotiation,
- management of spend data and
- establishment and maintenance of supplier relationships.
- MCIPS preferred. Engineering &/or Financial Degree
- Preferrable, Post Graduate studies Procurement, Logistics &/or Supply Chain.
- Tertiary Qualified in a Business/Commercial related degree
- Experience in a large working environment would be ideal
- 5 to 7 years experience as a Procurement Category/ Contracts / Commercial Role/s in Temp Labour/ Labour Hire sourcing and Logistics category
- Good Communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong problem solving / solutions development skills
- Ability to manage cross functional teams and stakeholder groups
- Ability to drive change across the business
