As a CBRE Senior Transformation Manager, you will play an integral role in driving change and transformation across the CBRE Global Finance landscape. The successful candidate will be an experienced finance leader that excels in an environment of fast-paced change. The candidate should have experience using technology to implement improvements to both systems and processes.
- Driving the execution of key transformation initiatives across the Global Controllership organization
- Analyze existing Finance processes and activities; identify and prioritize process improvements to drive the accuracy and timing of the global financial reporting process
- Work with regional controllership, finance, technology, shared service centers, and business leaders to implement enhancements
- Drive and execute the successful transition of key activities to a centralized, scalable resource model including centers of excellence and shared service centers
- Interpret current accounting guidance and policies; coordinate with the technical accounting, policy and SEC reporting teams to ensure that process enhancements or organizational changes remain in compliance with applicable policies and procedures
- Promote transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders, functions, and external vendors
- Consult with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets and business cases to align with transformation objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Minimum of 8 years related experience to include at least five years in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Public accounting or comparable experience or work experience with a multinational company
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous information to top management, employees, representatives of federal and state governments, and external auditors
- Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare clear, concise financial reports
- Must have ability to convey complex financial issues to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Financial Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related accounting theories & practices
- Demonstrated experience & knowledge of financial issues & economic impact beyond technical knowledge
- Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles
- Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions
- Ability to forecast and prepare budgets
- Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports
- Advanced understanding of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
- Develops and administers accounting practices to ensure optimum client satisfaction while guaranteeing CBRE financial interests are protected
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles
- Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues
- Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team
- Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
- Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company
- Ability to exert influence and build consensus across functions, geographies, and levels of an organization
- Extensive understanding and experience in application of GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statement footnotes
- Broad experience with an ERP such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, etc. Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful
- External and internal audit/SOX compliance
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations
- Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization to collect information and drive resolution
- Must be detail-oriented, have a proactive approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Must be able to effectively manage and prioritize critical deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
