Leadership position responsible for directing, supporting, and executing daily activities and strategic initiatives for multiple service functions within the Shared Service Center, servicing an international customer base in Mexico, the USA and Canada.
- Direct leadership responsibility and accountability for the following functions: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, as well as support for Corporate Tax and Banking initiatives.
- Supports setting up new reporting units, filing and auditing requirements, guidance with new tax regulations, coordination of divestitures execution, implementation of accounting principles both globally and locally.
- Coordinate and analyze strategies to increase the benefits of a Shared Services to identify new business opportunities and reduce the cost of the financial key.
- Coordinate the team to ensure that accounting services are delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Identify and implement improvements within the different business processes and make sure all controls, policies, activities, and the deployment of resources are consistent with its mission.
- Ensure that tools available and IT resources are used for the standardization and automation needed to reduce the cost and improve the process of the activities under the scope of Shared Services.
- Maintain relationships with served customer base, including periodic (at least annual) performance reviews and strategy development discussions. Also, identify new scope opportunities in line with GSSO Leader.
- Lead Shared Service Center team to continually improve processes, including KPI, financial and strategic reviews (at least monthly).
- Hire, train and develop capable personnel in support of deliverables.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in in one or more accounting/finance functions.
- Working knowledge of business strategy and/or strategic planning.
- Strong in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
- Extensive ERP system experience required.
- Solid analytical, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Winning mentality and persuasion skills as well as a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Energetic, responsive team player who is keen to take initiatives.
- Proactive, organized, and accuracy with attention to detail.
- Cost and time conscious (deadlines).
- Safety conscious and flexible.
- Be able to work in a high dynamic organization and to work under pressure.
- Professional communications skills both verbally and in writing with mandatory fluency in English.
