Shared Service Transformation Director | Nottingham | Circa £130,000 – £140,000 + extensive benefits including up to 40% bonus / comprehensive healthcare / excellent pension etc.
The Opportunity
This is an extremely exciting and high-profile project – you’ll be leading the design, creation, set up and optimisation of a finance shared service centre for a complex £bn+ turnover group based in Nottingham.
It’s a chance for someone to make a significant impact as the Head of a full-scale Finance Shared Service Centre.
As part of the senior exec finance team, working closely with the Group Finance Director, you’ll play an absolutely vital role in a large-scale transformation project (2-year minimum assignment).
- You’ll enjoy being the primary lead responsible for all recruitment and squad selection for across the senior leadership team within the newly established SSC. You’ll be driving initiatives to create and embed high performance teams, evaluating SSC performance and ensuring a culture of excellence across the function.
- You’ll drive the planning and budgeting processes for the centre and be the SSC ambassador across the group.
- Change management / finance transformation programme experience is vital. You need to be someone with extensive previous experience of full lifecycle management of the implementation of a financial shared service centre for a large & complex group / PLC.
- You need to be someone with a proven track record of designing and establishing a SSC for a group of £bn+ turnover and have a deep understanding of SSC creation & best practice. You’ll be a natural leader with high gravitas, approachability. Someone able to bring the strategic vision to life through proactive change management.
- You’ll be someone who enjoys building, leading and inspiring large teams.
- ACCA / ACA or CIMA and ideally MBA.
- Someone with extensive experience of design and development of a UK shared service centre within a large and complex business (likely £bn+ turnover).
- A natural leader able to execute the set up of an SSC – bringing the vision to reality through strong strategic and tactical decision making.
- Someone able to own the recruitment, retention and development strategy as the primary lead for the large scale SSC.
- Confident in your ability to create a centre of excellence over the next 2 – 3 years.
