Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our shared services HR team in West Houston. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership skills and guide a team that supports processes in various HR functions.

  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment, oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a Shared Services HR Manager
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.)
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the ability to direct and manage tasks of the HR team
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field; MSc/MA in Human Resources will be a plus

This is a direct hire role paying up to 160K plus bonus and benefits.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of Shared Services HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • 5+ years in human resources
  • Solid understanding of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office
  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to view issues with impartiality
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field
  • Unimpeachable ethics, integrity, and standards
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
  • Accomplished in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
  • A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations
