Our client is the world’s largest player with a huge global presence within its industry, currently hiring a talented Shared Services Centre (SSC) professional, to be based at their mid-sized SSC in Petaling Jaya. This center supports multiple corporate functions including finance, HR, sales support & database management across the globe.

The SSC is responsible for providing a consolidated administrative/corporate support functions to Headquarters and decentralized offices, to deliver them in a cost-effective manner, promoting operational efficiencies & service improvements.

You will be reporting into the Head of SSC and this opportunity will give you the career development opportunity to assume the Head’s role in the future.

This role is open to Malaysian candidates only.

  • Coordination of the operations and functioning of the SSC ensuring achievement of agreed service levels and compliance with established policies
  • Supervise staff, oversees the delivery of multi-disciplinary programs, policies, products, and services and prepare a variety of plans, strategies, reports and proposals
  • Oversee service delivery and the day-to-day operations of the SSC, ensuring that all standards are met, and procedures are followed
  • Develop and implement new work methods and procedures of the SSC, recommend procedural changes to improve SSC efficiency and ensure appropriate implementation of decisions made by senior management
  • Plan and monitor staffing overseeing recruitment and any other administrative functions related to the smooth functioning of the SSC
  • Define and ensure the implementation of Service Level Agreements, set standards for quality and ensures that operational activities are implemented in accordance with recognized procedures and guidelines and meet the established standards
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with functional Divisions/Offices at HQ and local BUs, liaising on issues in the implementation of established policies and escalating to policy owners any issue requiring policy related decisions
  • Guide team through requirement definition for operational reports, service level agreements, and process KPI’s
  • Degree in Business Administration/Management/Human Resources/Finance or another related field
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in coordinating, leading and managing a small shared services or outsourced operations
  • Proven leadership skills in ensuring team sustainability, SLAs, engagement and empowerment
  • Communication, partnering and advocating are necessary to succeed in this role, while being flexible in managing your time supporting stakeholders around the globe
  • Continuous improvement and strategic thinking mindset to elevate the SSC
