The First Line of Defence (1LoD) Operational Resilience & Continuity team works alongside various LSEG divisions as well as functions (technology, cyber, data, facilities, people) to provide shared services, support expertise and supervise all areas of the organisation to ensure that all elements of Group resilience requirements (Business Continuity and Operational Resilience) are delivered globally in line with regulatory and internal policy expectations.

Reporting to the Group Head of Operational Resilience, the Operational Resilience Programme & Change Senior Manager will support the delivery of the Group led Operational Resiliency agenda, including the maintenance and ongoing enhancement / development of the Operational Resilience framework and controls as well as specific regulatory change projects based on new and upcoming resilience regulations. This role will be required to provide SME guidance to ensure full Group wide consistent operationalization and embedding of policy execution, as well as challenge on viability of resilience plans and provide awareness of Groupwide vulnerabilities and resilience risk.

  • Be responsible for relevant regulatory change driven programmes to drive the implementation of new global resilience requirements as part of existing groupwide business and functional framework and processes, with a specific focus on DORA.
  • Lead on continual development and maturity of the Operational Resilience framework and controls, including the inclusion of additional new global regulatory related methodologies and requirements.
  • Lead on execution of other resilience related projects and initiatives.
  • Establish strong relationships and liaise with Divisional Accountable Executives, Business Service Managers and Operational Resilience Division & Functional Leads across the firm and provide SME knowledge and guidance to drive consistent adoption of Group Operational Resilience framework, as well as ensure the right development of division based operating models, process controls and governance.
  • Partner with key collaborators to mature the alignment of framework to policy and the Enterprise / Operational Risk Management Framework processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on embedding resilience by design into all areas of the firm, and drive resilience culture and thinking across the firm.
  • Partner with the Operational Resilience Governance / Reporting and Resilience Management teams to ensure alignment of business continuity and resilience oversight and reporting capabilities aligned to the central programme and standards / frameworks.

Assist The Group Head Of Operational Resilience To

  • Further develop the Group 1LOD operating model and processes to support growth and continuous embedding to business as usual, including training of new staff members.
  • Provide key support on Operational Resilience Group governance forums, boards or Committees.

Working Experience

  • Minimum 7 – 10 years proven experience operating at a Senior Manager level role within a firm
  • Experience of developing and implementing operational resilience frameworks in a highly matrixed and fast paced businesses where change is the norm
  • Knowledge and experience of Operational Resilience global regulatory requirements e.g. PS21/3, DORA etc
  • Working knowledge of Third-Party Risk within the Operational Resiliency context
  • A thorough understanding of the areas providing services to divisions/businesses covering technology, data, cyber, people, facilities management will also be important.
  • Experience in coordinating / implementing large scale organisation programmes and contributing to various design decisions and approaches that promote Resiliency/Business Continuity
  • Strong understanding of how both resilience and business continuity can support customers and delivery of the Group’s objectives.
