Directly accountable for managing the accounting and financial information of the Manning Offices. Coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the financial transactions in accordance with IFRS. Prepare and complete periodic close activities including financial statements.

Strategic and Operational Management

  • Manages the general accounting processes including journal entry preparation and approval, account reconciliations, month-end close procedures, consolidations, etc. across company affiliates.
  • Coordinates with the Finance Head to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provides timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support both internal and external reporting in accordance with IFRS and other statutory or government reporting guidelines.
  • Prepares annual budgets of the Manning Offices
  • Recommends improvements to accounting policies and procedures and ensure change directives are implemented.
  • Supports the timely reporting of key financial information and monitors the performance and quality of the activities performed based on agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Supports financial reporting including eliminations, consolidations, financial statements, and reporting.

Regulatory Management

  • Manage regulatory requirements and relationships with government bodies (e.g. BIR, SEC, BOI, SSS) and external resources (e.g. lawyers, auditors) as well as compliance with reporting requirements of unions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders in different countries and waters where OSM operates.
  • Oversee the external audit, review, and analyze results, and recommend for approval the audited financial statements.
  • Monitor risk management policies, procedures, and practices to ensure that organizational risk exposures are escalated and evaluated in accordance with the acceptable risk management appetite of the company.
  • Proven track record of 5+ years of managerial experience – preferably in a multi-national company setting. Previous positions have provided exposure to strategic development as well as organizational design, coaching, and people development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • MBA or other advanced degree in accounting, finance, or other business disciplines is an advantage.
  • Strong financial / compliance background with strong analytical skills and the ability to apply sound diligence to ensure high-quality output are prerequisites to succeed.
  • Should have an open mind and an ability to challenge the status quo, identify opportunities, and drive improvements.
  • With excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership capability and high stakeholder interaction. Excellent English communication skills both oral as well as written are required.
