This role will initially primarily focus on our Accounts Payable processes and operations, but we have a big Finance SSC team with diverse function in Mexicali, Mexico and as such, there’s opportunity to grow, develop, learn, and add value in many other functions too.

- Establish, monitor, and drive improvements in Accounts Payable operational and financial metrics. We want to manage our teams and operations using data.
- Perform and analyze payment metrics for strategic vendors in line with Corporate Policy.
- Develop solutions to ensure no late payments to critical vendors.
- Develop and execute on effective ways to coordination with indirect and direct procurement, receiving, and operations teams to ensure that we are monitoring the execution of the end-to-end procurement process, including identification of issues and performing root-cause assessments to inform our remediation efforts.
- Own the short to mid-term (1-3 years) strategy and operational direction for the Accounts Payable department.
- Monitor and report on risks across all product and services to ensure timely identification of issues and mitigation.
- Lead process improvement activities including evaluation of system, processes, and policies.
- Demonstrate flexibility while partnering with internal stakeholders, procurement teams, finance, and leadership teams to manage vendors with high complexity.
- Manage, coach and mentor professional staff; provides guidance and direction on complex issues.
- Drive the Accounts Payable metrics including managing Vendors experiencing payment delays due to process failures.
- Drive the design and delivery of technology projects, automation solutions, including defining requirements, and performing/managing user testing.
- Manages support documentation requests related to SOX controls.
Required Skills and Experience
- Collaboration – Builds trusted relationship with internal partners, peers, and team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence making independent financial decisions on behalf of Intuitive.
- Demonstrated track record of driving change and innovation across all shared services functions.
- 7-10 years’ experience managing professionals in a high growth environment, part of a Corporate Financial Services organization.
- Excellent communication skills, experience with VIP and C-Suite stakeholders, particularly our customers
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and project management skills.
- Ability to work productively in a dynamic environment and be a solutions-oriented team player.
Required Education And Training
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Risk Assessment or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience with AP Automation tools, such as Coupa and ERS is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise accounting systems, such as SAP is preferred
