The HR Shared Services Leader will be responsible for driving the James Hardie HR Shared Services roadmap and implementation. Leading the HR service center operations and deliverables to meet organizational objectives and service level agreements, develop and implement HR service center strategies, and integrate with our global HR team. This role supports the global HR service delivery model with a focus on customer service and assures alignment with HR COEs and other stakeholders such as HR Business Partners. This role must maintain the utmost confidentiality in dealing with employee and business information.

As the HR Shared Services Leader in People Operations, you will lead our Shared Services team and plan, design, and implement innovative capabilities that deliver high-quality, scalable HR services across the organization.
- Plan the future. Lead the development of HR Shared Services strategies, objectives, and roadmap, which support HR’s and James Hardie’s business goals. Design and implement efficient, quality processes that deliver value to our HR team.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop an overall strategic HR Shared Services plan for Global HR to leverage HR Systems including but not limited to HCM, case management and an employee portal.
- Provide leadership to the large HR transformational program across many functional teams and regions including third party vendors.
- Lead, mentor and empower the HR Shared Services team, fostering their professional growth and development while cultivating a collaborative high-performance culture. Emphasis on results, accountability, business acumen, critical thinking, and data integrity.
- Serve as an escalation point for the Shared Services team and identify root cause for issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with HR business partners, HRIS, and other functions to develop and continuously improve processes and programs.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot problem areas in service delivery processes, recommending effective solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Drive ongoing improvements through standardizing, automating, and consolidating processes in support of HR strategy.
- Champion process documentation and training initiatives, ensuring business processes are in line with system functionality and best practices. Create comprehensive documentation and training aids and facilitate training sessions.
- Partner with the HRIS team to ensure proper testing of the HRIS system is conducted and changes are communicated.
- Manage the case management system and ensure SLAs are being met by the team and any other teams using the system.
- Forge relationships with the business. Communicate well and clearly, taking the time to understand user feedback and incorporate it into recommendations and requirements.
- Maintain a high-level of confidentiality and ensure data integrity through process design and data audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or another business-related field.
- 7+ years of US Corporate Human Resource experience.
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to determine root cause and implement appropriate solutions.
- Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all management levels and end user levels.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple inputs and competing requirements.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and experience with successful project delivery.
- Knowledge of employee lifecycle and core HR functions and processes, including recruiting, learning, performance, compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR operations.
- Experienced with the general development and administration of both all-in-one Human Capital Management platforms (Workday, SuccessFactors) and stand-alone applications (e.g. Learning Management Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, Service Delivery Platforms, Time Tracking Systems, Payroll Applications).
